The 1/4a dull brown on coarse toned wove paper.
The 1/4a dull
red-brown in an extremely rare double impression (listed in SG.)
Only one complete sheet is attested. The item shown here of the upper-right
corner is from the Jaiswal collection SJ383.
The top left corner in a vertical pair also exists, Haverbeck Lot 1499.
Slightly purplish in daylight on deeply toned paper. It is upside-down to show the Second Leh Circle, a postmark used between 1884 and 1892
The 1/4a black
official on yellow-toned thin wove paper. It is included in the New Colours
section because of the papermakers' control mark embossment is explicitly
late, i.e., of a hitherto unreported 1885 in the upper-right corner. ex Séfi,
who read the date as 1883.
